• Management: Ensure all health and safety measures are implemented and maintained. Regularly review and update this policy.
• Tutors: Follow all health and safety guidelines, report any concerns, and ensure a safe online learning environment.
• Students and Parents: Adhere to the health and safety guidelines provided and report any issues or concerns.
3. Online Safety
• Platform Security: Use secure and reliable online platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams) for conducting sessions. Ensure all sessions are password-protected and accessible only to enrolled students.
• Data Protection: Comply with data protection laws to safeguard personal information. Refer to our Data Protection Policy for more details.
• Recording of Sessions: Sessions will be recorded for safeguarding and catch-up purposes. Recordings will be stored securely and accessed only by authorised personnel and enrolled students.
4. Safeguarding
• Child Protection: All tutors are required to undergo background checks and adhere to our Safeguarding Policy. Any concerns about a student’s welfare must be reported immediately.
• Behaviour Management: Establish clear guidelines for student behaviour during online sessions. Disruptive behaviour will be addressed promptly to maintain a positive learning environment.
5. Technical Requirements
• Equipment: Participants should ensure they have access to necessary equipment, including a suitable device, webcam and microphone (when required), and a stable internet connection.
• Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance to resolve common issues that may arise during online sessions.
6. Health and Well-being
• Breaks: Encourage regular breaks to prevent screen fatigue.
7. Emergency Procedures
• Incident Reporting: Any health and safety incidents must be reported immediately to management. An incident report will be completed and appropriate action taken.
