Unstuck Engine Fair Usage Policy
For PassLab
The Unstuck Engine provides 1:1 support with any PassLab question (This is any question that PassLab provides you with) for the duration of the 9-week course.
The limit is a maximum of 2 questions per day.
A question is any single question, or a numbered exam-question with multiple parts (a, b, c etc…)
Questions will be answered in the order received and will be responded to within 24 hours between Sunday and Thursday. Some examples are below
Question Received Monday 8am Feedback Given by Tuesday 8am
Question Received Thursday 6pm Feedback Given by Sunday 6pm
Question Received Friday or Saturday Feedback Given by Monday 6pm
Questions will be submitted in written or video format.
Best practice is that the student also submits their attempt at the question
Feedback will be given in either written or video format
For PassLab+ In addition to PassLab:
The Unstuck Engine+ provides 1:1 support with any Maths question
This is any question that you are stuck with that relates to any Level 1 or Level 2 Maths qualification
There is a common-sense element applied to the Unstuck Engine to try to reflect how most people study:
Example 1: you haven’t submitted any questions for a week, and you then submit 5 questions on one day. We will likely respond to all 5 within 24 hours depending on demand.
Example 2: you regularly submit 3 questions per day. Initially, we will likely respond to all 3 questions within 24 hours depending on demand. However, we will warn you that it is supposed to be 2 questions per day. If it continues then the additional questions will only be answered after 24 hours when the limit resets.
Finally, we endeavour to answer questions as quickly as possible. We may answer them well within the 24-hour window and on Friday/Saturday. This may not be possible at all times so if it happens, please treat it as a happy bonus – it is not an expectation that it will always happen.
3. Payments
Payment is due at the point of enrolment unless you choose an instalment plan.
If paying by instalment, all payments must be completed—even if the student stops attending—unless you cancel under the refund policy below.
Instalment plans cost slightly more due to processing fees and admin time.
4. Refund Policy
We want families to feel confident signing up to PassLab.
If you’re not happy with the programme, you may request a refund at any time within the first 3 weeks.
We will refund: All remaining weeks, minus 1 week, to cover costs of admin, onboarding, and materials already provided. Refunds amounts are calculated based on the price paid at checkout.
Once a refund has been processed access to all materials will cease.
5. Student Commitment
PassLab works best when students commit. We expect 100% attendance and completion rate.
They should:
Watch the weekly videos
Attend live sessions where possible (or watch them as soon as possible when the recording is available)
Try the weekly tasks
Ask for help using the Unstuck Engine
Missing sessions or falling behind will affect progress, but you will still have access to recordings and support.
6. Safeguarding & Recordings
Live sessions are recorded for safeguarding, catchup, and quality assurance.
Recordings are shared only with enrolled students and authorised staff.
Students must not share links, screenshots, or recordings with anyone else.
7. Behaviour & Conduct
LearnLots aims to create a positive, respectful learning environment. We may remove a student from a session if their behaviour disrupts learning.
Persistent issues may result in removal from the programme; in such cases, any refunds follow the standard refund rules.
8. Technology Requirements
To take part, students need:
A stable internet connection
A device that can join Microsoft Teams
Access to email for receiving materials
LearnLots is not responsible for issues caused by a user’s equipment or internet connection.
9. Access to Materials
All materials (videos, worksheets, recordings) are for personal educational use only.
You must not copy, share, or distribute them.
You will keep access to the materials up to the point that you gain a Grade 4 or higher in GCSE Maths. We are committed to helping all of our students to pass GCSE Maths no matter how long it takes.
10. Data Protection
LearnLots collects only the information needed to run PassLab safely and effectively.
We follow our Privacy Policy and Accessibility Policy regarding data, safeguarding, and reasonable adjustments.
